We've lived in a videoconference world for the past year and a half. Proper videoconference etiquette suggests that you use headphones to isolate the sound from the microphone. I've been making due with a Blue Yeti mic and the AIAIAI awesome headphones.
But, there's a whole genre of people out there who wear headphones and mics for long periods of time as well - and those are gamers.
EPOS is the brand from Sennheiser that is dedicated to devices for gamers. You've seen the hybrid wireless earbuds I reviewed a while back; and today I'm going to unbox the H3 Closed Acoustic Gaming Headset.
At $160CAD it's not too expensive for a higher end set of good headphones, but what's especially neat about it si they make a big deal - and it's true - that the earphone cushions are shaped like an ear. Most others are just circles, or a weird oval. Over time the shape of your ear is going to be pressed against that 'rim' but these help ensure proper even pressure over time.
Also, I like that, even tho' it's wired, the wire is removable and it gives you 2 options for that wire; whether it's for a more common joint headphone/mic connector like on laptops, or if you have PCs which moreso have separate headphone and mic jacks. So you have the options.
I'll have a full review up in the next week or so.
