Google launches the Pixel Buds A series

I love my Pixel Buds.  Despite the 'difficulties' with the originals, I still love their sound the best, but the Pixel Buds 2 are super convenient for my bike rides... but they are also $240CAD to buy.  Great set, but not everybody can drop that kind of cash.

Well, now they have the new A series Pixel Buds, and they're only $140CAD.

To get that savings they shook off the wireless charging of the package, and what looks like the swipe for volume, but still keeps the Google Assistant.

Definitely more affordable!

Google has revealed the latest addition to its line of wireless earbuds - the Pixel Buds A-Series. Featuring the same premium sound quality as the Pixel Buds 2, the A-Series will embody Google helpfulness packed into a low-profile design, all for just $139 CAD.

The Pixel Buds A-Series prioritize rich sound as well as versatile functionality, and will include a number of features at an affordable price:

  • Full, clear, natural sound: Custom-designed 12 mm dynamic speaker drivers are combined with the Pixel Buds A-Series’ unique hybrid acoustic design.
  • “Hey Google”: Get hands-free help with Google Assistant built right into the Pixel Buds A-Series.
  • Real-time translation: Start a conversation and get translation in more than 40 languages right in your ear while using a Pixel or Android 6.0+ phone.
  • Hardworking battery: The Pixel Buds A-Series include up to five hours of listening time on a single charge, and up to 24 hours with the charging case.
  • Iconic, comfortable design: Pixel Buds A-Series don’t just sound good, they look good. Available in two colours - Clearly White or Dark Olive.

The Pixel Buds A-Series will be launching in Canada and the U.S. on June 17, 2021.
