Always looking for something to help fill in those long trips lately, you can only watch so many real crime documentaries on a flight before they blur together. So let's find a good game.
Today, I had the chance to review Black Border 3. It's on sale for just 90¢ (Canadian) at the Play Store as well, so why not give it a shot.
On its premise it looks like a simple app where a vehicle comes to a checkpoint at a border and you see if it can pass or not.
Here's a quick playthrough:
So yeah, it starts out "does the passport document look right compared to what you see?" and then you accept or reject. Simple at the start.
As you go on you have to check the weights to see if the vehicle weighs what it says, and then it adds rules like certain names are not allowed, or certain products...
Every step adds a thing or 2 to double check before you can approve.
I like to think I'm a type A, and I'm a good double checker, but this game keeps me coming back because it's always different things and despite how I might feel confident there's usually an error that comes in and helps remind me to stay on my toes.
Plus, some of the extra features in the game you can play Farkle... I love Farkle.
So, check it out, for under a buck, you can play this game and have some simple mental puzzles to check your attentiveness. I do wish it was a little 'faster', it feels like once you're ready to choose, to select the stamp, it takes a couple seconds to get that ready, and then you have to drag it to the passport.
