Okay, so if you're like me, you a) probably send lots of screenshots here and there because it's quick; b) hate how that screenshot now lives on your phone feeling out of place, yet you can't delete it.
What's worse is usually I'll do a screenshot, but then I want to crop parts of it out so who is getting it, only has to notice what's in it, and not be confused by the time, or my battery percent, or what other tabs I have open, meaning I'll now have 2 screenshots saved in my gallery - one of the full screen and then a cropped version.
Found this tip, thanks to JR Raphael (if you've not subscribed to his weekly emails "The Intelligence", you should).
Essentially, to send someone a screen grab from your phone, without saving it and cluttering up your gallery, you're going to make use of the Circle to Search feature.
So it's easy. Just long press on the home bar and then blam, you've got the Circle to Search feature up and ready to do its work.
Most other people use it to actually find out what's on your screen, whereas I make use of the feature that pops up.. "share".
Circle what it is you want to send someone, and you'll be met with 4 rounded corners masking out your screen. Ideally, this is to tell Google want you want it to find information about. Adjust the corners as you see fit and then there's a pop up that shows "select text / share", and if you choose 'share', it'll just share whatever's in that box as an image.
Now, if instead of it selecting the screen and it's in text selection mode, to sort of 'force' it to be the image mode, tap somewhere on the screen where there isn't anything and a tiny box will appear for you to adjust as you need.
Pretty cool!
