Okay, this is not an 'Android' thing, but I'm really geeking out on all things Google.
One of my favourite sites is Sheets. I use it a lot for everything. Tracking registrations, attendance, keeping contact records, etc...
Now, that looks a little basic, and then I can start building my own dashboard by using the =filter commands, or =countifs etc... I love doing that data dissection. But sometimes you just want a good dashboard. Enter Google Sheets' new Gemini powered Canvas.
Let me show you a simple contact database
So, pretty neat. Not just filtering out, but fancy looking card layout, with some graphics.
What else can it do? What if those were board members, and I had a meeting every month and needed to track their attendance. I make a table, but let's see how the meetings are doing
I think this is pretty darned cool. Super easy to make and incorporate.
Now the drawback is that sometimes the data doesn't link 100%, so you have to watch. I've had it sometimes not come up with newly added data (once or twice out of a few dozen times). That and every time I 're-prompt' to make an edit, it regenerates the whole Canvas (and sometimes makes a 2nd Canvas), so there's some efficiencies needed.
What also is cool is I can share a link to the canvas (but the person you give the link to should also have access to view the Sheet as well).
You can't view it on mobile, so it's desktop only at the moment.
But, I'm loving it so far. How would you use this?
