Woof, that's still a mouthful, even just to type it out.
Well, I've been playing with this phone for a few days now and wanted to give a quick first impressions. So far I'm liking the simplicity of the phone, but the main attraction has to be it's display. So I wanted to discuss it first about how the little switch on it works; but I got side tracked with how well the AI was in it, not just a gimmick.
Yeah, so it has AI (which phone doesn't these days), but I found it actually quite simple to use, and not intrusive.
Get a quick simple writing tool with a 3 finger swipe up.
Take a selection of text and long press and drag it to the bottom to do more AI features. That's nice. No special extra apps, copying and pasting to.
I like it. Gemini... pay attention.
Then we see the selection between the NXTPAPER modes with the switch.
Between a Max Ink mode (most like an e-Ink book, very simplified interfaces, super long battery life), an Ink Paper mode (almost like the regular experience, but just 'black and white'), and a Colour Paper mode (just some basic colours thrown in).
It's neat and I love how changing these modes you still get fairly fluid display, not 'chunky' refresh like on an eBook.
Great stuff so far, and I'll have a full review shortly.
