Okay, picture it... my little 'man cave', I've got a little magnetic stand for my phone to rest in when I don't want it on one of the (many) chargers around.
I started playing some music on my phone while at my desk (review for a set of earbuds incoming) and this feature comes up (whether because I've never just played music in front of my tablet before or it's a wholly new feature I didn't hear about).
"Do you want to play music from your phone directly on your tablet just by waving it in front?"
Sounds like a cool option to have. By all means. I check yes. Cool feature right?
Test it out. Very cool. It takes a second to start casting the music from my phone to the tablet.
But I wanted to test the earbuds, so I tell it to 'undo'. It takes a second and starts playing on my phone/earbuds again.
But almost a second or 2 later, because the phone is still close to the tablet it starts up the notification that it's going to start playing on the tablet... umm... no. 'undo' after a second or so if it playing on the tablet.
Rinse & Repeat
It only stops once I take my phone a distance away...
Simple enough solution, but I like how my layout is. it would be nice that if it wasn't automatically trying again and again after you've said no.
A day or so of fiddling and I think if I keep the phone absolutely still on the stand it won't retry.
I've submitted feedback, but what an odd bug.
I'm tempted to turn off the feature.
Finally found it again... in settings just do a search for "cast options"
Or, go into Settings / that first option with your name and "Google Services & Preferences" / All Services / Cast Options / "Tap to Cast"
Anyone else find this feature?
