I love my Pixel, if for no other reason, than that it gets updates so quickly. And, although it hasn't hit my device yet (still hitting the update button repeatedly) it's coming soon to a Pixel near you:
The December Pixel feature drop is here, bringing more intelligent, helpful and intuitive features to Pixel devices, with new ways to use Gemini, camera improvements and security updates, including:
Gemini Updates:
- Access more apps and services in Gemini, including a new Spotify extension, allowing you to play your favorite songs and podcasts, and discover playlists for any mood.
- Use Gemini to control your smart home devices that your Google Account can access like your lights, AC, or TV with the Google Home extension.
- Answer your calls in a smarter way with Gemini updates to Call Screen. Get more contextual easy-to-tap replies.
- Get live transcripts of your screened conversations between the caller and the AI-agent using Automatic Call Screen.
Device Updates:
- Pixel 9 Pro Fold: New updates coming to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold including Dual Screen in Portrait Mode, and Joy from Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out in Made You Look.
- Pixel Watch & Fitbit: First launched with Pixel Watch 3, now the enhanced Daily Readiness algorithm and new tools: Cardio Load and Target Load are available for all in-market Pixel Watches, and Fitbit smartwatches and trackers.
Feature Updates:
- Pixel Studio: Show off your Pixel Studio sticker creations, now available in Gboard keyboards, so they are easily sharable via messages, social media and more.
- Emoji Kitchen: Lets you create fun and unique emoji combinations, and it’s also available right in your Gboard.
- Pixel Screenshots: New upgrades will help you stay organized during a busy holiday season.
- Now you can save your Circle to Searches to your Pixel Screenshots with a simple tap, to make it easier to find later.
- Pixel Screenshots now automatically categorizes your screenshots for you, so it’s even easier to find exactly what you’re looking for.
- Pixel Screenshots also provides helpful suggested actions based on the information you saved — like creating a calendar invite or getting directions.
- Finally add tickets or credit cards from Pixel Screenshots to your wallet to save those important documents in one convenient spot.
Safety and Security features:
- Great for frequent travellers, Identity Check, in beta, will require your face or fingerprint authentication before any changes to sensitive settings can be made on your phone.
- See who's knocking at your door from your Pixel Watch 2. Previously only available on the Pixel Watch 3, now you can access your Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell, right on your wrist using the Pixel Watch 3.

I do like using the Studio app myself a fair bit, so an easier way to share some of those creations in GBoard look like a great feature.
