Android 15 coming to Pixels today with Protection and Privacy

Now, Android 15 isn't a MAJOR crazy update, like the days of yore, but any new update is a welcome update in my eyes.

The update that's hitting my devices today brings with it:

  • Theft detection and locking
    • If your phone detects it's been stolen, snatched, etc... it will lock and not reopen until proper credentials.  You can even lock it remotely with just a phone number.
  • Private Space
    • Stash away those very personal apps from anyone else potentially using your phone
  • Tablet/Foldables - app pairing available for 2 apps that you often use together, you can now load them both up at the same time
  • Archive apps that haven't been used in a while, but retain the data
  • Preview 'back' button action

So, having these new features isn't groundbreaking, but it does help keep us with that peace of mind.

If you've got a capable device, go get the 1GB update now!
