AI is everywhere now in just about every facet of your phone. Since the Pixel 7 we had this new "magic editor" feature in Google Photos, and with the Pixel 9 they've added an option called "reimagine".
Essentially, where you used to be able to just remove items from your photos, or resize an item, you can now select an area and tell it to 'reimagine' what you think should be there instead with a prompt for the AI to redo it.
I tried making the backdrop a beach, or reimagine a stone as a trophy. It's novel, it's not groundbreaking yet, but I've had some good results.
I took this photo of me and selected the background and suggested it be replaced with a field and hot air balloons.
Didn't do to shabbily.
But the general rule with Gemini is it doesn't like to work with 'people'. Anything that has a hint of altering a person it'll deny (like a hat). Here I tried to say reimagine me as a football player and a trophy, and it just says 'nope'.
