Markham, Canada, February 28, 2024 — Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304), the World's Slimmest 13.3" OLED Laptop, is now powered by up to the latest AI-powered Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor, and is now available for pre-order at the ASUS Store and Best Buy. Zenbook S 13 OLED will be available in store on March 11th and on Amazon, Canada Computers, London Drugs, Memory Express and Walmart.

Super-slim and super-light
Zenbook S 13 OLED is the world's slimmest 13.3-inch OLED laptop[i], and it's also the most eco-friendly Zenbook ever. To achieve the super-slim 1 cm (0.39 in) [ii] profile and super-light 1 kg (2.2 lbs.) [iii] chassis of Zenbook S 13 OLED, several advanced techniques and materials are used in its design and construction without compromising performance, connectivity or battery life.
  • Display layer infusion: We embed a thinner FHD IR camera directly into the CNC-machined lid and incorporate a specially designed ultraslim OLED panel, resulting in a lid that's 30% slimmer.
  • Optimized internal design: Using precision CNC machining and circuit boards with fewer layers and a higher wiring density and transistors provides better performances in a lighter and more compact design. Its precision-engineered motherboard also houses an ultrathin fan for better cooling. This combined effort helps to make the lower part of the laptop by about 25% slimmer.
  • Materials choice: To minimize weight, durable and lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy for the keyboard deck and an extremely thin glass covering for the touchpad is used, resulting in a further 25% reduction in thickness of the keyboard deck.

All-round sustainability

ASUS is dedicated to maximizing efficiency while minimizing environmental impact, exemplified by this laptop, the most eco-friendly Zenbook ever made. It incorporates post-industrial recycled (PIR) magnesium-aluminum alloy in the keyboard cover, chassis and lid, reducing its [iv]. Its keycaps and speakers incorporate post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastics, and the speakers also use ocean-bound plastics. We have redesigned the packaging to be 100% recyclable and uses 100% FSC Mix-certified paper. The paper packing inserts can also be easily transformed into useful laptop stands.

Zenbook S 13 OLED exceeds the ENERGY STAR® energy efficiency standard by 60% to reduce electricity consumption. We employ a distinctive manufacturing process to create an ASUS-exclusive plasma ceramic aluminum material for the lid. This process induces a physical and chemical transformation of the aluminum enhancing its wear resistance, corrosion protection, thermal management, hardness [v], and lifespan. This is achieved using only pure water and electricity, without the need for organic compounds, strong acids, or heavy metals, ensuring a low environmental impact.

A longer laptop lifespan also reduces long-term waste, so Zenbook 13 S OLED is stringently tested using the latest MIL-STD-810H US military-grade durability standard.

Performance on the go

Zenbook S 13 OLED is an Intel Evo Edition laptop that features an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with built-in Intel Arc™ Graphics and cutting-edge AI capabilities. With Intel's first integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), users can seamlessly work, game, and create all while enjoying extended battery life. Combined with the laptop's 1 TB SSD storage, up to 32 GB LPDDR5x 7467 MHz RAM and WiFi 6E, this means that users will wait less and be able work faster, wherever they are.

Despite its ultra-thin profile, Zenbook S 13 OLED features a full range of I/O ports, including two Thunderbolt™ 4 USB-C® ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, HDMI® 2.1 port, and 3.5 mm audio jack. For enhanced video conferencing experiences, the FHD IR camera supports AI-powered visual effects and noise-cancelation, plus fast, secure face login via Windows Hello. For an immersive viewing experience, Zenbook S 13 OLED features a 16:10 ASUS Lumina OLED display with a 3K resolution, 0.2ms response time, and Delta E <1 color accuracy. It delivers vivid colors and Dolby Vision certification, as well as is DisplayHDR True Black 600-certified for deep blacks, Pantone Validated for color fidelity, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut for ultra vivid colors. Equipped with ASUS Splendid, it allows you to easily switch between this gamut and sRGB, Display-P3 or the native OLED gamut. The display is also TÜV Rheinland and SGS-certified eye care with 70% lower blue-light emissions. ASUS also provides free OLED screen exchange for any burn-in issues during the warranty period [vi].
