I just wrote about my experience with a folding phone and was a bit marvelled by how the tech has developed, and here Asus is launching a whole folding laptop: the Zenbook 17 Fold
Now, this is just no ordinary tablet, or scaled up phone, this is a full fledged laptop with a bendy screen so that you can use it in 'DS mode' where you can interact with the seated portion, or you can get a portable keyboard for it and use the whole screen experience. That's a lot of 'wow here.

| Fremont, California (October 26, 2022)— ASUS today launched the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702), the 17.3-inch foldable OLED [i] laptop. To create this futuristic device, ASUS and Intel have developed industry-first solutions to advance innovation in the foldables category, including collaborations between domain experts and an ecosystem partnership. Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is a response to users' desires to achieve the ideal balance between mobility and productivity in their modern 24/7 lifestyles. ASUS engineers and designers worked seamlessly to create a device that delivers effortless efficiency with a modern minimalist design. It eliminates the need to compromise when working in different environments — in office, at home, while traveling or relaxing — by elegantly incorporating two screen sizes and multiple usage modes into one highly portable device. [i] The visual appearance of OLED displays may change over the product’s lifetime. This is expected behavior that can include image persistence or burn-in, where the display shows a faint remnant of an image even after a new image appears on the screen. This tends to occur only in extreme use cases, such as when a static, high-contrast image is continuously displayed for prolonged periods of time. ASUS laptops with an OLED display minimize this risk by setting Windows’s Dark mode as default, as well as shortening the idle time before the screen is turned off — both on mains (AC) and battery (DC) power. This dual approach minimizes the potential for burn-in to maximize the lifespan of your OLED display lifespan, and also reduces unnecessary power draw for optimal battery life. We also recommended adjust the brightness of your OLED display to complement the ambient lighting in your environment, rather than keeping the screen at maximum brightness at all times.
