It's now available for purchase in Canada and if you do go out and pay the $800CDN for it, you'll get a free speaker mod. I've also got the new speaker and it's quite nice and a neat update over last years (again, a review is forthcoming).
The short review is it's definitely more than a mid-ranger and even though the battery is smaller than last year's, it still lasts a pretty good amount of time (more than most need for a full day's worth of use).
