Device Information Apps

Today I am comparing Device Information apps. Sometimes I need information about my device that is buried away in my system settings, and it's just nice to have an app that makes it readily available. The two that I have chosen are Device Information and Device Info.

Device Information
is an app that will give you a quick and easy low-down on your device information. It has a basic mode and an advanced mode for a little more info. The great thing about this specific app is that it also acts as a root-checker. Simply slide over to the Root checker tab and it will tell you whether you have Root Access, if you have BusyBox installed, your SU Version or app installed. Device Information also includes a summary of your storage.

Device Info
allows the user to view much more information. If you require any information on pretty much any aspect of your device, including build number, sensor specifications, software or hardware, this is the app for you. Most users will not require all the info displayed, but if you are looking to tinker around with your device, this is a very handy tool.

Anyone might tell you that you can find all of this in your settings or by dialing a code into your dialler, but for ease of access, I prefer to have everything laid out for me so that I can get to work without all the fiddling. Which is better? Well, what do YOU need?
