Statik's State Power Bank is a handy survive the day device

It's the holidays - well, it's moreso that "Decenuary" time of year.  Major holiday over, but still probably plenty of family / friends gatherings to get through.  At these events I have 2 worries... 'will I eat too much', and 'will my battery last'.

You know me, I'm a battery fomo type.  If my phone goes below 60% I start getting worried.  Not that it EVER has died on me early, I just don't like getting caught short (what if they're like "Let's go see the northern lights after this" and I need to use my phone in the cold more?); I like being prepared.

So, to help me be prepared for any situation of battery concern I'm bringing with me some charger.  And, since the Pixel 10 came with Qi2 compatibility (read: magnets) that means those MagSafe compatible chargers are what I'm grabbing.  Something that can easily connect to my phone - and I hate using cords.

I was recently sent the Statik State Power Bank - this handy little device has 5,000mAh ready to power you up with up to 15W speed.

It looks like any others that I've reviewed on the site.  Nice and slim (a little tall in my opinion) with the C port on the bottom that can be used to charge the device or out to charge another device (if you happened to carry the cord with you).  The read out on it gives you a 4 light read out of the battery condition (so you can estimate to 25% increments how well its holding up.

And it works as intended.  Now, this is a $67CDN power bank (on sale at the moment), which is a bit pricey in my opinion for a charger, but the upside is that it can output at 15W (something you won't find with any of the cheaper options out there, 5W extra speed does come in handy).

My only 'woe' on this is that I wish for the price of it that it would have had some sort of kickstand (like the UAG SRGE Slim, but it is still cheaper than the SRGE).  I do like to be able to put it propped up when say I'm on a flight.  This is where the longer factor of it comes in to play, where you can rotate it and then i hold onto the battery that's protruding.  Not the same as propping it up, but it works.

The nice slab design of it makes it an easy fit into the pocket without any weird angles or fits in any coat pocket just easily.

If you're looking for a nice portable charging solution - check this out, and they have deals if you want to buy more than one!  Plus Statik makes a lot of quality products, so it's one you know you can trust - I've not had any issues with any of my cables or chargers with them so far and I don't expect any.
