Okay, so thanks to Google I have the opportunity to compare the Pixel 9 I've been using for a couple weeks with the 'bigger brother' Pixel 9 Pro.
Well, it's not 'bigger', just has more brawn.
For $250 difference (CDN), let's check out spec to spec what the difference is.
What I'm really looking forward to is the more RAM, and the smoother, higher resolution. I'm curious to see if I'd notice a difference with the ability to go as low as 1Hz vs. just 60Hz ... where would that be needed? My guess would be that on less 'moving' scenarios it's probably going to save you some battery juice. We'll see.
The bonus is the telephoto lens.
What others might also notice is that for the $250 extra you'll receive $300+ in value from Gemini Advanced. I'm not as excited as those 'free year' offers as then at some point I'll have to cancel it (or not, and then the lifetime cost of your phone just increased).
Still looking forward to running with it! I'd been holding off on a full review of the Pixel 9 until I felt I really gave it a chance. And with the 9 Pro in hand I can now give it some true comparison.
I am a little bummed that it isn't pink. I have been getting a lot of attention with having a pink phone.
They also included the official Pixel 9 case to match, so I'll give you thoughts on that in a bit as well.
