You remember Chromecast? It kinda changed a lot of us watch TV. Plug a little doohickey in and you could get just about whatever was on the internet playing on the TV. I'm old enough to remember the original Google TV box (keyboard was pretty clunky, but what a cool concept).
The later iterations got better and better, and I LOVE my Chromecast with Google TV, now we have a remote to control all the Chromecast goodness.
So what does this new one look like?
Well, it seemingly takes a cue back from the days of the Roku, where it's a device that no longer sits behind the TV, but on the shelf with the TV. That's almost a deal breaker for me as I have everything mounted on the wall so something not behind it means I have to find a place to put it.
The coolest feature about it is that it has a 'find my remote' button like the Roku Ultra.
Then there is the new button layout. Moving the volume rocker from the side of the device (which I'm used to with phones) to the front is definitely more 'tv remote' like.
The device isn't listed on the Canadian site yet, but it's listed on the US as $99.99USD
