I just like Gemini better... maybe because that's my astrological sign... hrmm
Well, Gemini just improved (no, no 'broadcast' ability yet) today to include a new feature called "Gems". I loaded it up today for some of my 9-5 work and saw this new feature on the web (didn't see if it's able to be called up on the app). I couldn't use them tho' as I'm not a paid user.
At first I thought that these 'gems' were a quick prompter, something to help you when you were stymied by a bit of writers block, or unsure how to get started. Similar to the 'suggestions' they have already
But, rather, these devices act as a special facet of Gemini's big brain. You can have it as a sort of expert on a given field for you.
They have some that are premade, but if you're a paid user, you can make your own.
I wanted to make one for a 'band (virtual) manager' as something that can help me with my social media ideas for the pipe band. It let me click 'new gem', but any time I started to create what I think would be the instructions, I got logged out.
There's no 'new gem' option on any of the business accounts I use.
I think this would be good as more focused Gemini help, so if you know specifically what you want to do, you go to that gem. I don't know if it's going to be better from a 'bare' starting prompt, but it may save you a few steps by that the brain behind Gemini knows what facet it's working from.
I wouldn't know as I'm not a paid user to do that testing, but very cool to try to tailor your Gemini faces (a Janus Gemini? mixing up our Greek gods).
