Google Announces "Chromebook Plus"

I can't tell you the odd looks I get when I tell people I don't use Windows or Mac.  "I'm ChromeOS"

Either they see it as "what's that? never heard of it", or it's a "that can't be good enough, Chromebooks are cheap".

I don't know which response I hate more... that more people haven't heard about it, or the impression is that they're not good enough.  The latter just being clearly wrong too.

Google, just announced today a new 'category' of Chromebooks, the Chromebook Plus.

These devices (8 of them) promise laptops that are just that step above the rest.  More power, more AI, etc... and still at a great economic price.

And this is just the starting point. They say more news is coming in 2024.

At a minimum the Plus realm of Chromebook would promise:

  • Intel i3 12th Gen or AMD Ryzen 3 7000
  • 8GB RAM
  • 128GB of storage

There are a couple announced along side here:

I'm super interested and can't wait for Chromebooks to take over!
