I love a good mesh. That's not me with my Scottish accent telling you how I love to clean up.
I'm talking about mesh networking. The idea of not just having one router for your entire house. Mesh networks act like mini repeaters out there to give you full coverage everywhere.
I've reviewed the older Linksys Velop, Nest Wifi, and recently the Gryphon (which that one wasn't a mesh but they have options to do it).
Amazon also makes mesh routers, the eero.
And today they've announced the upper end eero Pro 6E ($429 for one, or $999 for the pack of 3), the eero 6+ ($199 for one or $429 for 3).
We’re excited to announce that today, Amazon has introduced eero Pro 6E and eero 6+—the newest additions to the eero 6 series of mesh wifi systems:
· eero Pro 6E, the first Wi-Fi 6E-enabled eero mesh wifi system, supports network speeds up to 2.3 Gbps, provides coverage for over 100 devices simultaneously, and provides access to the newly-authorized 6 GHz band, all of which ensures so more devices can get gigabit+ speeds across your home.
· eero 6+ is Amazon’s most affordable gigabit-capable eero system, with access to the 160 MHz radio channel for fast connectivity for activities like AR, VR, and 8K streaming; plus, it supports over 75 simultaneously-connected devices.
With customers adding more devices to their homes year after year, wifi is more congested than ever. Equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E technologies, eero Pro 6E and eero 6+ make high-speed, gigabit wifi accessible to more customers than ever before.
