Amazon launches new Kindle Paperwhite

It's a little past the hammock season for me, but it's not going to be long before it's that hygge time to cuddle up in a warm indoors while it's cool outside, and nothing better than reading a good book.

Well, I haven't read a 'book book' in a while, it's all been digital for me for a few decades now.  Despite my love of digital literature, I have yet to try these Kindles, and Amazon has a new one here:

We are excited to share Amazon is launching the all-new Kindle Paperwhite and the first-ever Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition in Canada. These new devices combine premium hardware, faster performance, and a re-designed user interface so you’re able to have a more enjoyable and intuitive reading experience.

For only $149.99, the Kindle Paperwhite comes with a larger 6.8-inch glare-free display, 8GB of storage and premium features like a new adjustable warm light, with an additional 10% brightness at the maximum setting to ensure reading is more comfortable on the eyes. It also has an increased battery life, so you can optimize the use of your Kindle for even longer without worrying about finding a power outlet. The new Signature Edition has an auto-adjusting light sensor, 32GB of storage and is the first-ever Kindle to offer wireless charging and with up to 10 weeks of battery life all for just $209.99.

Not to mention – the all-new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition are designed with sustainability in mind. Both devices are built with 60% post-consumer recycled plastic, plus, 95% of the device’s packaging is made of wood fibre-based materials from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources.

Pre-orders start today, and the devices will start to ship out on October 27, 2021.
