Chromebooks just took over Macbooks for market share

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it - I have no regrets about going all in on my Chromebook.  Zero.

It's an awesome platform, and more people this past year also saw that and purchased more (probably also because of price).

According to IDC the worldwide market share of computers Chromebooks now beat out macOS products and are in 2nd place (yeah, Windows still dominates).

from Geekwire

They were neck and neck at the start of the year and now now they have about 50% more than mac.

I guess the price point really helped Chromebooks as folks scrambled to have some portable device for at home learning - hard to make that call that your 10 year old needs a $1000+ macbook.  I don't really get the point of those things, but that's just me.

My ol' Pixelbook is just trucking along just fine!
