Moto X Play to be available Friday August 21

So after a bit of a wait, and a teasing with the Moto G availability it looks like Motorola's second offering in their new line up will be available for purchase this Friday (August 21st) at a few select carriers:  Bell, Koodo, Telus & SaskTel.  Wind and Videotron will also get it but just a bit later.

Look for the device to be around the $400 mark (we haven't heard the official pricing as our Motorola contact said this is their suggested price, but carriers can always juggle that number).

Remember, Motorola announced 3 phones lately, the Moto G, the X Play and the X Style.  Unfortunately Canada will only get the G and the X Play, and not the Style, but they also will not be getting the Play.

With the specs of the Play, it's a hard choice which I'd rather have... but that huge battery...  You might see some 'Muricans coming up to purchase one!

What about the rest of the specs:

5.5" @ 1080p Gorilla Glass 3
Snapdragon 615 1.7GHz x8
2GB RAM
16GB storage + microSD
21MP / 5MP
3630mAh with TurboCharge
Water 'repellant' (no IP rating tho')

Cool that it's 21MP for the camera, but the free storage for Google Photos caps out at 16MP.  Oh, well.

So, what do you think about it?  I know of a couple of our readers who are excited; even +Rhiney Maceachern is switching carriers!
