Asus Pegasus 2 Plus just announced in China ... will we get it?

I just love to love Asus stuff.  The Nexus 7 was amazing.  My Nexus Player is fun... I've really been eyeing up the ZenFone 2 (+Martin Guay says he'll be snagging one, so looking forward to hearing about that).

Yesterday they announced their... well, not a flagship, but definitely something that could come close - it'll come down to the price point to see what arena it'll try to compete in; because the specs are quite nice.
Here's what you get:

  • 5.5" @ 1080p 
  • 64 bit Snapdragon 615 octacore
  • 3GB RAM
  • 13MP/8MP
  • dual-SIM
  • 3030mAh
  • Android 5.1.1

The first Pegasus went for ¥799CNY (about $164CDN), so I can't really see where this one would be any higher than that as its successor.  Considering the specs - that's pretty good.

Now... will it come to Canada?  I want to love Asus stuff, but they just rarely make it to our shores.
