Took the time today to talk with Rogers in regards to the upcoming carrier changes coming into effect on June 2nd 2015 due to the CRTC ruling on the subject.
I was interested to see what Rogers vision going forward with these changes and here's what we got.
"We were a driving force in pushing for the adoption of the Wireless Code and have been planning for this change for some time.
We’ve worked with customers on various promotions and packages like Share Everything plans for Rogers customers, including Roam Like Home (in the US and now Europe) and NHL Game Centre Live and our Fido customers Fido Pulse plans which include Spotify Premium and DAILY VICE subscriptions.
Consumers want access to the best content, most reliable service, and real value and we’re always looking to meet their changing needs, giving them options they can’t get anywhere else."
I also took upon myself to check with Rogers in regards to the 3yr contracts that are being converted to 2yrs. This means that quite a bit of the customer base will see a drastic reduction.
