The little ROM that could, +CyanogenMod, and is practically on just about any rooted/flashed device I know (except Tom, Martin and Sylvain) has gone 'incorporated'. They're a company now. And they're going to be big.
It's funny, just last night I was having issues with my wife's phone installing the latest nightly (I haven't been that active in the nightly scene in a while, and as a noob flashed the 10.2 nightly over the 10.1RC... a 'dirty flash' as it were, and it caused all sorts of issues).
I was just commenting how the updating program should be adapted ot let folks know that, and one of the first things that +Steve Kondik mentions is a better installer. Something we'll "see in the Play Store in the coming weeks".
The biggest obstacle we wanted to get out of the way is the hideous installation process. ... Our installer will be available on the Play Store in the coming weeks.
They've made some great strides lately. The new focal camera app (which is cool), their own version of ADM, etc... and this new 'venture' will only ensure to keep it rolling.
What will change is our capabilities, our speed, and our size. I’m not one to let anything stagnate.
Looking forward to the new news coming out form Steve et. al. And keep your eyes peeled for a Reddit AMA later today. [edit: missed it: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1mnnc6/we_are_steve_cyanogen_kondik_and_koushik_koush/]
