I'm sure that by this time today you've seen that Roku has release an application for Android. I'm one of those guys that does have a Roku box at home.
So I decided to do like all good geeky guy would do. TEST IT!
First thing you need to know; Connect to your Wi-Fi. Once your connected and that you've downloaded the application, you'll be prompted to login to your Roku account.
You'll instantly be able to browse, install channels, play media, stream content from your tablet or smartphone to your Roku device. It's that simple.
I played music I had on my phone, I launched a movie I had on the tablet and I even decided to do a slideshow of pictures I had taken with my phone.
Playing my 1080p HD video to the TV over Wi-Fi with no degradation in quality but mind you I am running a Wireless dual band A/N/G/B router on a 5ghz/2.4ghz band and I get full throughput on it.
I am aware that the Roku is on the 2.4ghz band but even so I was only using 80% of the bandwidth available on that channel. "Slick"
For anyone who currently owns a Roku this is a MUST HAVE APP! Don't even think about it, just do it!
