For some of you Ultimate Custom Widget (UCCW) remains a mystery and for others it's easy as baking a pie. Some crafty guys and girls out there are making it easier then ever for you to be able to customize the look and feel of your Android device.

You need to set your grid size to 12x12
Hide the dock and remove the notification bar.
Press Menu > Nova Settings > Desktop > Desktop Grid
Go back one screen and Width Margin = None, Height Margin = None, Scroll Effect = none, Wallpaper Scrolling = Off, Resize all Widgets check it, Widget Overlap check it, Overlap when placing check it. Go back one screen select Dock, remove check mark at Enable Dock. Go back one screen, Gestures and Buttons, Swipe Up gesture opens App Drawer, Swipe Down brings notification.
Now your done setting up Nova Launcher. (fyi this is also pretty much the same as APEX).
You'll need to make sure that you've install UCCW from the Google Play Store.
Make sure that you've download the drop box files and place them on your device.
Open UCCW and click on OPEN, Open uzip and browse to the location of the file and pick out the files, repeat the process for each one of them. This way they'll be loaded and ready to use.
Exit UCCW. Hold your finger on the home screen to bring the options and select Widgets browse to UCCW and select UCCW 4x1 and in the list select Grey Metal Main and resize it to fix the size of the screen you need it. It should look similar to the image I have here.
Now the settings for Nova Launcher in most cases are almost the same because most people are into making use of all the space. Some UCCW or Zooper themes might have different requirements from time to time.
Hopefully this is putting you in the right direction. If you have any questions about any of this feel free to ask me and I will help you out.
**** You may need to make changes to the notification bottom part of the UCCW theme for your Google Mail account to show up correctly and that's done with HOTSPOTS off and making a selection on the Gmail1 option. If you can't figure it out, let me know I'll provide screenshots.
