What's your thoughts on the whole Google Edition phone scenario?

So, there's a LOT of chatter on the interwebz these days about Android and these 2 new Nexus User Experience (N.U.E.) devices.

Plenty to talk about.  As I said earlier, +Sundar Pichai has said that these will not do away with the Nexus program. But there's some sacrifices to be made to get these flagship phones into 'stock' mode.

Decision making aside, what's your thoughts on the ability to have the choice now?
