Acer C7 Chromebook pops up on Google Play Store in Canada

Acer C7 Chromebook
Ok, I know this isn't technically "Android" news, but since many of you are Googlephiles, this seemed appropriate.   Back in March, Google announced that us Canadians would also be getting our hands on the Chromebooks, as long as you rushed in to your local Bestbuy or Futureshop (or HP's website). That was all well and good, but nothing popped up in the play store, like with our southern brethren. Fast Forward to today.

Jumping to the Play Store, you will now see that the Acer C7 Chromebook is not listed for sale on the Play Store for $249.99. This may not necessarily beat out Futureshop or Best Buy prices (especially with shipping), but you would most likely get to take advantage of Google's Customer Service, which handles warranties extremely well (they send you a replacement device without you having to send the other one back).

If this isn't a big deal for you, I would suggest still picking up from Best Buy or Futureshop (they both have it for $235, as long as you buy soon).

The Acer C7 Chromebook comes with an 11.6" HD Display and HD Webcam. It is powered by a Dual-core Intel® Celeron® Processor, comes with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 320 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive. The battery is rated to gives 4 hours. Your connection is provided via ethernet or Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n. Also, included with the laptop is 100GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years.
