JXD S7300B GamePad 2 Review

The JXD S7300b Gamepad 2 is a Wii U / Android tablet knockoff, designed for Android gaming with hardware buttons built-in. It fetches for around $150CAD.

I have been a fan of Android games since release and they are only getting better. The only problem that I have is the touch screen controls. I went out and bought a JXD S7300b after scouring the internet for hours, trying to find a decent spec'd Android tablet that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

The 7'' Android 4.1 GamePad 2 is definitely a knockoff of the Wii U and it has a feel of a second generation Chinese tablet, decently built but definitely not a high end build. It sports a Dual core 1.5GHz chip with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, SD card slot capable up to 32GB and a resolution of 1024*600. It is also capable of 3G & Ethernet via OTG.

The left and right analog sticks work decently, but they are not 6-Axis. You can't go wrong with the D-pad and BAYX Nintendo setup, they are as responsive as can be. With a couple key mapping options, there is no limit on games that you wish to play...except duck hunt. I have been using the GamePad 2 for a week now, and I am a fan, especially because it comes rooted and there are already a couple of custom ROMs available. If you are looking for a decently priced Android gaming tablet, this is an option for starters.
