One thing was pretty common tho' was there didn't seem to be much concern for malware or an 'antivirus' for your device. Lots of 'security', but not much for software type attacks.
For those of you who did... let's take a look at a test done by AV-TEST, they recently put together a report on app security.
There's always the concern that some malicious code can ruin a device, or make it a very bad day for you, but how good is the protection. It's seemingly only as good as the bad stuff we know about.. i.e. anything 'new' it may not do as well against.
Malware does a good job at trying to hide itself, so antiviral software is like people with good eyesight. Not everybody has the same vision acuity. So, AV-Test asked how well are they? They did some tests and came up with some interesting results from 22 different apps:
I've gone and ranked the apps for you by their score of Protection & Usability (which they graded out of 6 for each).
