I got to play with this phone a while back, and I was GREATLY impresed. But after having 4.1 or 4.2, it's hard to use anything that's not ... even though ICS is a great system, and the Atrix is so so close to stock, it feels like it is, it's still not 4.1..
Well, now it is. The guys over at MobileSyrup are reporting that the update is OTA right now.
This is about a few weeks ahead of schedule. We had it slated as Q1 2013 (we keep a database of all the news for firmware updates available over at: http://goo.gl/9UKqG).
Not seeing the update yourself? Well, you can go into the phone settings, about phone, system update and ask it to 'check for update'. Still not seeing it? Try doing the trick of going into the apps, finding the Google Services Framework, clearing cache/data, then going into the dialer app and punch in *#*#checkin#*#* and wait for a few minutes, then try 'check for update' again. It's kind of like a 'reset' for the update queue, and sometimes pops you up to the front of the line.
