Google's Pixel Tablet is now 'stand optional'

I do like the Pixel Tablet, I'm struggling to still straddle the 'is it a tablet' vs. 'is it a fancier hub' kind of device.

Well, as of today you can take one piece of the puzzle out of the equation - you can buy the tablet now without the stand (and here I was debating buying an extra stand for the $179CDN).

Go to the Google Store and you have 2 options:

  • Tablet & stand $699
  • Just the tablet $549

So buying it with the stand is a $20 savings if  you're going to buy one later...
