Pixel Buds now remind you to clean your earbuds

Okay, this is something I was already meticulous about, so I didn't really think much of it when I saw the articles out there saying it was coming.

This summer, for my own mental health, I've been doing a ton of walking.  Everyday, I go for about 5km or more - and I've rediscovered audio books in the process, so it's nice to have the headphones in and listen and tune out everything around me (especially the Pixel Buds Pro with their noise cancelling).

And then just the other day, got the notification as I started walking.

The idea is that every few hours (180) or so it's going to send that gentle reminder to clean your buds.

How do you clean them?  Well, little do many people know, but the rubber 'caps' can come off and just use a little cloth to wipe away any grime/ear wax that builds up.  Don't forget to also do it in the charging case 'caverns'.

Google's got a video you can watch as well:
