Asus launches some new Chromebooks (C223, C423, C523) for Canada

I'm flippin' loving my Pixelbook.  My son is loving his Chromebook.  Using a desktop seems so ... unnecessary these days.

Most of our digital 'habits' are accomplished on our phones anyways, so something that needs more screen we're more apt to look at something mobile than a stationary piece of hardware.

It's for that reason we're really starting to see Chromebooks take off.  A year ago I'd say to someone I'm using ChromeOS and they wouldn't know what that meant.  Nowadays more people are familiar with and prefer it.

Asus, who makes some kickass hardware is jumping on this trend with 3 newer Chromebooks.

The C223, the C423 and the C523

The Asus Chromebook C223 runs at $299 and is available at Best Buy:
  • 11.6" 1366x768
  • Intel N3350
  • 4GB RAM
  • 16/32GB storage
  • 2 USB-A
  • 1 USB-C
  • microSD slot
The Asus Chromebook C423 & 523 are $440 or $349-$499 and the difference being the screen size.  the C423 is available at Staples (can't find link) and the C523 should be at Best Buy (again, can't find link)

  • 14" or 15.6" 1366x758 (or FHD 1920x1080)
  • Intel N3350 / N4200
  • 8GB RAM
  • 32/64GB storage
  • 2 USB-A
  • 2 USB-C
  • microSD slot
Best of all, remember, is that Chromebooks run with Google Play Store and soon to have Linux support.  So why do you need a traditional desktop or windows laptop anymore?
