So, the "Nexus" line is dead, but - man, we still use that Nexus Player just about every day.
It's got some quirks, limited storage, the remote has a bit of a delay nowadays, and BT needs a bit of 'reminding' (and then that's delayed depending on the speaker) ... but it's still good.
If you're looking at some sort of streaming device, buying it for just $33USD (plus about $16 to ship to Canada) is a pretty decent price, less than a Roku with similar options (non-IR) and it'll run Android ... ask your TV questions for the Assistant to answer.
