Pixel 2 XL - Live Case (Maps)

So, when I got the Pixel 2 XL, Google also sent along a Google Earth Live Case to help protect it.

Now, you know I'm not a fan of cases... but I thought I'd try it out:

Now, for $65 it's not a bad case... a little on the over pricey side for a case in my opinion, but it does a good job of providing some rigidity and protecting the front glass when laying on its front.

Using the case for the Assistant is just fine (it's a little harder to squeeze, so I did adjust the sensitivity accordingly), and the fingerprint sensor is now in a bit of a well, so it's just a slight adjustment to use it properly.

Maybe I should have been using it more as without the case there is a teeny tiny scratch in the top corner of the glass edge (that would have been covered by the case).

Just remember, with cases, take them off now and again to clean out the lint and dist that builds up in the nooks and crannies.

The case should by rights be paired up with the Live Case app in order to make the background look like the case.  Double tap the background and you're brought to the place on Google Earth where it was taken.

Neat... but I can see how that would get pretty boring, pretty quickly (how many friends would you be able to show it to, really?).

Get it on Google Play
