Samsung Electronics announced today that it is acquiring Harman for about $8 billion in cash. This is pushing Samsung at the centre of the automotive industry. Harman is also the parent company of JBL and the likes. Harman is a key player in supplying manufacturers with infotainment displays, audio systems and numerous other perks.
