It really is drip feeding until full launch, but OnePlus has let out (unless you've not been paying attention to the other launch on the other side of the world...]
Details now about the display and battery. Some people are disappointed about the display being 'only' 1.5k resolution, but they did so to ensure that the display has the best refresh rate. I'm not so heartbroken as it isn't a down to FHD. It'll still be fine.
For me the good part is this battery. Wowza
OnePlus 15 Redefines Fast and Smooth: The Ultimate Performance Experience
Featuring an Advanced Triple-Chip Architecture, 7,300mAh All-Day Battery, and an Industry-Leading 165Hz Display for a Truly Fast and Smooth Experience
New York, NY, November 6, 2025 — OnePlus 15, the ultimate performance flagship launching globally on November 13, builds on the company's tradition of o@ering a fast and smooth experience and takes it further than ever. The device will feature a revolutionary triple-chip architecture, an ultra-smooth 1.5k 165 Hz display, and a long-lasting 7300mAh battery – the largest battery in a consumer smartphone in the United States and Canada; it delivers unmatched speed across every scenario, from daily multitasking to graphically demanding games.
An Industry-First 1.5K 165Hz Display
From the first touch, OnePlus 15 immerses you in a visibly faster and smoother experience. OnePlus continues its tradition of display excellence with the industry’s first 1.5K 165Hz LTPO screen, o@ering a new level of fluid motion combined with retina-level clarity and detail. In titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars and Clash of Clans, users can enjoy ultra-smooth native 165fps support.
The 6.78-inch display also excels in visual quality, featuring accurate color reproduction, a high brightness mode (HBM) of 1800 nits for clear visibility even in sunlight. It also achieves an ultra-low minimum brightness of 1 nit by default for comfortable nighttime viewing.
To ensure comfort during long viewing sessions, the display has achieved TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certification. It includes an intelligent Eye Comfort Reminder and an Eye Comfort Mode in gaming that subtly adjusts color saturation to help reduce eye strain, all while maintaining a rich and natural viewing experience.
Smooth Under Heavy Load with Triple-Chip Power
OnePlus 15 is engineered to remain fast and smooth in every scenario, even under the most demanding conditions. This performance is made possible by an advanced triple-chip architecture, where each component works in harmony to handle complex tasks.
Powering the system is the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, providing the foundation for flagship-level performance. It is supported by a dedicated touch response chip that brings 3200Hz touch sampling for instant response to every interaction, and a standalone Wi-Fi chip that maintains strong, stable connectivity even in crowded network environments.
Combined with system optimizations and OxygenOS 16, users can effortlessly switch between multiple applications or even run two games simultaneously while maintaining perfect fluidity.
In terms of gaming performance, OnePlus 15 delivers industry-first always-on 120fps gameplay with zero frame drops, while its custom ±4000 DPS gyroscope translates subtle hand movements into precise in-game control for a competitive edge.
Intelligent Cooling for Sustained Peak Performance
At the heart of OnePlus 15 lies an advanced thermal design, focusing on intelligent cooling for sustained performance. The 360° Cryo-Velocity Cooling System integrates a 5,731mm2 3D vapor chamber for core heat dissipation, an aerospace-derived aerogel insulation layer that minimizes surface heat transfer, and a white graphite back cover for uniform thermal distribution.
This comprehensive cooling solution makes sure OnePlus 15 remains comfortable to the touch and ensures consistent performance during extended gaming sessions or intensive multitasking, building upon OnePlus's track record.
All-Day Power: Unprecedented Battery Life
Responding to user demands for longer battery life, OnePlus 15 features the highest-capacity battery of any OnePlus phone, the 7,300mAh Silicon NanoStack battery. It will be the largest battery in a consumer smartphone in the United States and Canada. Taking advantage of OnePlus’s advanced silicon anode technology with a 15% silicon content, this delivers exceptional energy density, representing a significant advancement in battery technology.
OnePlus 15 supports up to 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging for rapid power-ups. Additionally, its Bypass Charging function addresses a key gamer need, supporting direct device power without charging the battery, avoiding excess heat, and preserving battery longevity.
The battery is designed to retain over 80% of its health after 4 years of use and operates reliably in temperatures as low as -20°C, demonstrating OnePlus's commitment to long-term reliability.
This commitment extends to its physical durability, with OnePlus 15 achieving a comprehensive set of IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for industry-leading protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets.
The complete specifications and availability details will be revealed at the launch event on November 13. Stay tuned for the upcoming unveiling of OnePlus 15 in global markets.
