Awesome! I remember way back when Tom and Martin were theming everything and the dark mode was something especially that Tom (aside from the AMOLED quality, he had some light sensitivity). I didn't get it back then, but now I do.
So, if you're on WhatsApp, the latest beta includes a setting that now let's you set the 'theme' of the app to either Dark / Light or "system default".
Because I'm on Pixel that let's me set the system theme to adapt, I set WhatsApp to mirror my system with the 'default' setting and voila... Dark Mode!
