Tablo Dual reduces price just in time for the holiday shopping

So, recently we finally cut our cable (I really meant to a long time ago but it was so hard to actually get to the cable place and return the box... then another box as well, etc..).  With cable gone, saving about $75/month we are fully reliant on Netflix/Youtube and the occasional Kodi (lately we've been less reliant on Kodi as it's just been too much work to find the shows that work compared to Netflix).

But, now and again we wouldn't mind watching something 'live' or 'local'.  Well, a great digital option for the 'rabbit ears' is Nuvyyo's Tablo Dual.  Now +Martin Guay had reviewed the Tablo back here but I also have been meaning to review the Dual model (meaning it has dual tuners).

Just in time for the holidays they've reduced the price fo the Tablo Dual to just $289.99CDN, which seems hefty (compared to inexpensive Roku boxes) but if you want local channels, it's a pretty good option

A quick recap, the Tablo system allows you to plug a set of rabbit ears into the box and put it anywhere in your house.  The box watches the shows for you and then you can use the Tablo app or even a Roku Channel to stream what the Tablo box is picking up.  It can even record TV shows for you with it's built-in hard drive.  Pretty handy.
