Cool, just saw this today on my G6 (yes, I've gone from my Pixel 2 XL back to the LG... more on that later).I heard it was coming, and we've seen the Google Lens feature show up in the Google Photos app, now the Lens feature is available in the Assistant app.
So here's how it works. Launch Assistant (say your phrase!) and then you'll notice the little 'Lens' icon in the lower right. This will launch the camera and then give you the options to touch somewhere on the screen to get information on what Google 'see's there.
It's looking for text, products, barcodes, etc...
Works pretty well. And now it's on more devices!
