Stop, capture, highlight and post! It's the Xperia X Performance camera!

With that title, I might have been referring to Pokémon Go, but no, it's time to inspect the camera on Sony's Xperia X Performance. I'm not the guy that goes around and takes pictures of everything, but when I do take pictures, I'm looking at getting some great shots out of the camera I've got. I'm not one to nit pick about it, however, I've been disappointed by some of the flagships camera. Stop, capture, highlight and post! It's the Xperia X Performance camera!

Over the weekend we happened to be in mother natures path and a storm was the perfect test. Took the Xperia X Performance for a little video test while this was happening.

Perfect time to see how the default settings operates and pan across to see how well the capture of this video goes. The SteadyShot and Intelligent Active mode does make a difference when shooting a video on the Xperia X, it definitely is true when I took this video. I pan from left to right with no shaking effect to the camera.

The newest Xperia cameras take focus to the next level with Predictive Hybrid Auto-focus. Select an object and your camera will track it– anticipating the next move and preventing the blur that results when shooting scenes with motion. It's a good thing I got to practice quite a bit with the camera to figure out how to best use the new features to the fullest. It's intuitive, but you may want to give it a good hour of play to make sure you get how it really works.

Sony Xperia X outperformed all leading global competitors and delivered the most accurate auto-focus performance. Combine it with it's SteadyShot technology and Intelligent mode, you can get yourself some exception shots.

Launching the camera wasn't completely instant. You could easily notice a 2 seconds delay for the camera to kick in. If you are looking for an excellent point and shoot camera, you are looking at it, however, if your goal is to do camera photography, then you should consider other options. As a point and shoot this is at the top of the list. If you are looking to do professional work keep on looking.

The front facing camera is also very important, the age of selfies is upon us and we've all done it with the duck face at one point or an other. Sony has crafted quite a piece of software and tech when it comes to selfies and it does put others to shame.

Maybe not the best shot, but this shows you how good the front facing camera does work. This also demonstrate that it might just be the perfect front facing camera for selfies.
