Onda 8" tablet for ~$100USD [sponsored post]

So, if any of you out there have kids, you know there's that eternal struggle of debating 'should I just let them play on a device?' it's hard to really say... because with some kids, it easily becomes an addiction.

The other side is, what would I let them play with?  I really don't want my kid playing with my device, and gucking it all up with their kid germs and let alone filling it with Minecraft and kitty cat games.  For me, I've given my son an old Note 2 as his primary device.  But a year or so with him is like 5 for anybody else.  It's definitely seen better days, and it's about time to take a look at my options for replacement.

So... what are my options?  Find another older device?  For me it's gotta be about price.  He's not going to know the difference between last years and this years performance.

When I'm shopping around on price, I start looking a little wider than the standard companies. Here's one company that was forwarded to me:  An Onda 8" tablet, the V820W.

I know, you're saying... the what?

Well, it's only $100USD for a tablet.

Now the specs aren't great... but it's $100

  • 8" @ 1280x800
  • QuadCore Intel Z3735F @ 1.3GHz
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB storage + microSD (up to 128GB)
  • 2MP/0.3MP

Compare this to my son's Note 2 and it's stacking up pretty good.

Even better, it's dual booting (hence the extra storage) for Windows.  So what he can't get to work on Android, he has the option to run Windows 10 and go with it.  (now it says it includes the Office 365 and Adobe CS5 suite... I'm a little reticent to believe that for $100 you're going to get legitimate copies).

What's your thoughts?
