LG's next round watch is the 'stylish' Urbane

I don't know about you, but I'm just loving what LG has been shipping out lately.  From the G Pad to the G3 it's been some really stellar devices.

I rock the G Watch currently and have been waiting to see the G Watch R.  It's not yet available in Canada, and I'm okay with that as I'm not a fan of the 360 markings around the outside rim.  Really makes it look a little congested.

Today they announced the G Watch Urbane (I'll call the Gwurb) which we'll get a closer look in a couple of weeks at the Mobile World Congress.

LG describes it on their blog as a 'luxury' device which is 'designed for a sophisticated and cosmopolitan wearer'.

Aside from the looks, here's what it delivers:

  • Chipset: 1.2GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400
  • Operating System: Android Wear™
  • Display: 1.3-inch P-OLED Display (320 x 320, 245ppi)
  • Size: 45.5 x 52.2 x 10.9mm
  • Memory: 4GB eMMC/ 512MB LPDDR2
  • Battery: 410mAh
  • Sensors: 9-Axis (Gyro / Accelerometer / Compass) / Barometer / PPG (Heart Rate Sensor)
  • Colors: Gold / Silver
  • Other: Dust and Water Resistant (IP67)

You can compare the specs to the other watches by going to the Smartwatches Comparison database over at databases.androidcoliseum.com (quick recap, it's a little smaller than the others, but most specs line up exactly the same)

No word yet on the price of this watch (but using the word 'luxury' might get you thinking) or when it'll be available.

What do you think?
