Android Coliseum's Gift Guide 2014

Have you started your holiday shopping yet? I know I have and I'm definitely not even close to being done.

If you haven't started yet, I don't blame you, but if you're in a shopping mood, I have some ideas that might just interest some of you.

With the holidays fast approaching, a lot of us are going to start looking since Black Friday is just around the corner. In Canada and in the United State we are starting to get some deals here and there as we get closer to this "hectic" day of shopping.

Then following that, we will be getting into the Christmas shopping, so why not get ahead?

The first thing I have on my list is an extended portable battery charger. We have in the past here at Android Coliseum talked about a few of them that we liked. Let's revisit some of them; I will talk about Anker, RavPower and TYLT.

If you're familiar with all 3 of them, but haven't made a move to procure yourself one then this might be the time.

First up is the Anker 2nd Gen Astro E3 for 39.99$ on Amazon CA which should make a few of you happy as it boast a 10 000 mAh battery with a slim form factor.

Let's not stop there and continue on with RavPower Element which you can grab for yourself on Amazon CA for 29,99$ and it host a nice 10 400 mAh of power for your continued enjoyment of your Ingressing.

TYLT is really rocking my socks off lately, they've been the go to company for me and they're featuring the Energi 10K which will offer 10 400 mAh of power for 99,99$

If you're in the works for something more convenient and portable, then I may just have one for you; RavPower Luster 3200 mAh which should provide enough power to get you fully charged for 14,99$.

As you can see for yourselves, the prices for these different accessories have different price range, built, style and definitely different power levels. It all comes down which one you want to buy.

Let's move on to some other gear you maybe interested in getting for yourselves? What's that I hear? A pair of headphones or ear buds is all the craze, some of us want perfect accuracy in our music and others simply the comfort of listening to some good tunes. There's 2 options to consider is this is the corded and Bluetooth option.

Let's start by looking at one of my favourite Bluetooth headphones the Plantronics BackBeat PRO, it's not for the feith of heart I assure you because they will set you back by about 270$. But the performance, the richness of the music is, let's just orgasmic.

If you're looking for something more affordable that can still pack a punch then you may want to take a look at Slick Distributions SD50 which will run you at about 50$ CAD. Make sure to take note that you'll be ordering from a UK site. This pair is really in the midrange to highend range of the quality and clarity of the music.

The last piece is the Sacred Sound Audio in ear set, it provide great audio quality and it's small compact and perfect for any teens. This is the cream of the crop in my book for in ear. This will set you back 16$. For the price and what you get, it's really worth it.

Here's a small list of other things to consider for your holiday purchases:

  • Screen protector
  • Cases
  • Sleeves
  • Charging cables
  • Tablets
  • A New Phone
Now that were getting even closer, carriers will be looking at getting your business and they'll surely start advertising sales all over the place.

Also, why not take the time to visit places like Indiegogo for interesting projects that you may want to get for yourself? Some of them are pretty good and quite handy. That's it for now!
