Rogers, Fido, Telus and Wind Galaxy Nexus 4.2.1 Update Rolls Out!

Owning a Nexus device normally means you'd get all the goodies first when it comes in terms of Google OS updates, but the Galaxy Nexus launch was a little skewed when it came to that. It seemed that anyone who purchased theirs through a carrier had to wait for that said carrier other than Google, which ruined the spirit of owning a Nexus device for many users. Google Thankfully rectified this by releasing the Nexus 4 on the Google Play Store early before any other carriers to ensure true Nexus fans would maintain this wonderful early update features from other mobile phones.

I'm a day late on this announcement, but that's what happens when you're a family man :P

The Galaxy Nexus through Rogers, Fido, Telus and Wind are reportedly having their 4.2.1 OS updates pushed out as of yesterday. Yes it's not the 4.2.2 that the Nexus 4 and other Galaxy Nexus owners are sporting right now, but it's damn close and is nothing to complain about.

If you haven't got your update notification yet, be sure to go to your: (Settings > About Device > Software Update) and manually search.

If that still doesn't reveal your update, you can try this trick my partner +Ryan Moore posted a while back to attempt to refresh, and search again. You can find that article here at How to Get Your OTA Update Faster.

Good Luck!
